Caramelized Banana Nut Skillet (elite comfort dessert)

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas (sliced lengthwise or into thick coins)

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2–3 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • Splash of vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans = best)

  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.

  2. Add bananas and let them get golden + slightly caramelized (don’t move them too much at first).

  3. Sprinkle in brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt → it’ll start getting syrupy.

  4. Add vanilla + nuts → toss gently so everything gets coated.

  5. Cook another 1–2 minutes until glossy and caramel-y.

Serve

Scoop into a bowl and add a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top so it melts into the warm bananas. Or have it with some greek yogurt and granola!
